The Insider’s Guide to The Arsenal Premier Soccer Team
Currently sitting in second place behind a strong Manchester United Team and ahead of a Chelsea team who spent the first half of the season looking like it was going to run away with the whole thing, if you would have told Arsenal fans at the beginning of the season that this is where the team would be with seven games left, they probably would have taken it. With that said, it’s been a strange, somewhat manic year for the Arsenal. There have been points in the season where they looked as if they were going to take the Premier League title, and there were points in the season they looked like they should have been relegated.
While they beat Chelsea and have had some strong games against Liverpool and Man U, Arsenal have let themselves down with poor performances against some of the weaker teams in the EPL. This includes, in chronological order, two ties against Sunderland, a tie against Wigan Athletic, an ugly tie against Blackburn, and a painful loss to Tottenham. While they still have a chance, mathematically at least, to catch Man U, the 2010-11 season for Arsenal will be remembered for not getting the points when they had to get them.Want to know more?
